travel clothing heaven

These are the choices I have made, refined by 50 years of travel, with a preference, for The crisp weather of autumn/Fall,and winter.
Being Comfortable In the Clothing You Are Wearing In Those Precious Moments Of Travel Is Just As Important As All the Other Plans for Accommodation Car Hire Et Cetera.

You won,t be surprised to see an emphasis on Natural fibres that made my personal experience even in the depth of winter, no more uncomfortable than a summer’s day in a t-shirt…
but as declared in my opening,”ABOUT” Post,I have witnessed  the evolution of very sophisticated synthetic fabric also, particularly in the outer garment

  1. the first item is a silk T-shirt,I was naturally wary these at first, But the brands I have chosen have behaved no differently than Cotton t-shirts for wear…Silk is the natural synthetic It is unparalleled for quick drying with, particularly useful when you’re travelling, after you have washed it in a sink, and put on a hanger, particularly if there is a heater in the room you can see dry patches within minutes. This also obviously applies to the way it works sweat in the form of moisture away from your skin, this is markedly different to a cotton T-shirt \as an undergarment, particularly the better quality cottons, have a density of weave that traps and leaves damp patches, making it uncomfortable, silk however remains dry

    2. My next choice as a second layer is a clever fabric made by silkbody a New Zealand company, like the legendary ” icebreaker” merino, it has a real emphasis on quality, it is a clever blend of a little bit of cotton for strength, wool for cosiness, and the rest about 80% is silk  find it here https://www.silkliving.com/ They have two different weaves, one is called a cellular, which has a waffle texture that traps the warm air, the other weave which takes the title “silkbody” makes a very smart outerwear also the sheer sensual comfort, of the silk T-shirt and this next layer means you’re unaware that they’re there, compared to a lot of heavy layers of Conventional, claustrophobic winter clothing

3.The final outer layer before a jacket would be put on, would be icebreaker Merino, the styles I like have a short zipper that does up at the neck,  when undone, if it’s a bit warmer gives you a bit of flexibility for comfort, but if it gets cold with the zipper done up comes up just underneath your ear,and it’s very cosy. The previous garment from silk body also has this feature and I find it extremely useful compared to a round or crewneck, which can leave your neck cold.

4.Finally one of my favourite items is a synthetic of the last few years called primaloft, it is a fill, that mimics swans down, just as light but not as bulky, (so you don’t look like a snowman) it also has a feature of being effective even if it is wet, as it’s a generic fill it is used by many different brands in USA and the UK, my favourite brands are this link  Montane
    The other favorite is Rab

It’s always preferable to have a hood style rather than without as this keeps the warm and moving from your head right down your body, rather than a style without a hood which leaves your neck and head exposed.
